5% off first class stamps from 28 October at Superdrug

Passing Superdrug today I noticed they had a sign in the window saying 5% off all first class stamps starting 28th October.
They seem to do this every year before Christmas so it's probably a good time to stock up on stamps to save a few bob.
That's if there is any post being moved around the country by Christmas

Could be no point sending first class because I have read that second class mail is no longer "held back" at the sorting office, like it was in the past.
So second class should get there the same time as first class.0 -
That's a good deal, especially as there's another rise in postage in the pipeline! Like most, I'm actively looking at ways of avoiding RM in order to mitigate against the strike. But that's another matter completely!0

wonder if this will apply to the Large Letter stamps as well

Two thoughts:
Does anyone know how much CostCo sell their stamps for? They sell discounted 2nd class stamps too.
And usually if you buy something at Superdrug, they give you a till spit, telling you to go online, give feedback, and then you get a discount off your next shop. Can that shop include stamps?0 -
No point sending anything in the useless royal mail, don't know why it's called royal anymore maybe the Queen should put them all in the tower for treason against the crown. Waste of space the mail these days.

no not quite
you have mail centres and delivery offices
at mail centres they will 'hold back' 2nd class if the mail volume requires it to achieve the sorting of 1st class, mailsort, downstream access mail etc
once 1st/2nd class mail hits delivery offices then it isnt seperated0 -
Just been into Morrisons at Bideford, Devon to take advantage of the reduced stamp offer. Neither the check out lady or the customer services department had any idea what I was talking about. Has anyone bought the discounted stamps yet?0
