    Thanks again for that info, Grumbler :)

    From what I've read on that thread, I think I'll use up my Direct ISA allowance from A&L (even though I got a letter the other day telling me the rate had gone from 5.15% to 4.75%)...actually I might be better to investigate transferring it to a better rate one...this is getting more involved as the hours pass!

    Then I'll have about another £5,000 to play with - if I can open a websaver and then a Regular Saver at the same time with £3,000 of that, that'd be great.

    Then the other £2,000? Pfffff.... I'll sort out the other stuff first :)
