Not a specific Christmas saver but Dunfermline BS 'blurb' says:
Why not use this account as a Christmas saver or holiday saver?
This Moneywise article quotes the Moneyfacts head of savings:
“For people looking to cut the cost of Christmas, I would suggest they look beyond these ‘special’ accounts,” she says. “They are essentially regular savings accounts but with lower rates and the same, if not more restrictions.”

Slightly off-topic but I saw a tip somewhere, maybe on this site, about using a loophole in some supermarket schemes. This involved putting money in just before spending it, and might involve buying stamps to stick on a card. The title was something like "Make 5% in a day". If it's on this site I expect it's a decent tip, otherwise anyone finding it will have to make their own mind up.

dont forget for those that opened a skipton xmas saver last year, its due to mature the end of next week.

i am wondering if they have decided not to do one for next xmas as you can usually open them from the last week of october/first week of november and nothing as yet on their site??

also looks like yorkshire building society will be doing another one as i have had a letter from them confirming that the one i opened last year is due to mature on 1st december and to speak to the branch about the new one on maturity
