Duplicate transaction listed on credit card statement

Hi all
I just recieved my statement from Halifax credit card, which includes a duplicate transaction - £12.62 from Tesco. I have a receipt showing the correct payment on Friday 2nd October, but the duplicate is listed as paid 1st October. I called Halifax, and the customer services agent tells me I have to dispute it through Tesco.
Is this right? I seem to recall something about Chargeback which you can use to reclaim payments that shouldn't have been made.
Any help greatly appreciated. At £12 its hardly a bank breaker but if I can easily get my money back I'd be very happy!

No they can do a chargeback but I would speak to Tesco so that when they say that you have to speak to the credit card that it will be done.0 -
Ahh, thank you for the advice, I did eventually go to Tesco who after a while said they'd not got the records but head office weren't disputing the transaction. Fortunately for myself, stopping making me looking more foolish than I could have done, I found the other receipt that just happened to be the day before, and just happened to be exactly the same amount... so there was no "duplicate" transaction in the end. Thanks for your help though.0
