Like-Saving-Money you missed out one of the most important detailing products - clay bar to get your paintwork in tip top condtion. Washing up liquid can be used but only for the rubber seals.
I like to have my car in good condition - some people cant believe its 12 years old now it still looks that good. For this I use virtually all the Poorboys available at www.poorboysworlduk.co.uk and is by far and away the best stuff I've ever used.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Anyhoo, you seem to be contradicting yourself. The Autosmart wash you sell is a very good example of a budget product that does the job as well as the 'boutique' brands. I've used a sample of it myself and had no problems at all. In fact, I'd go as far as recommending the OP buys some from you. I'm happy to pay a bit more for a fairly limited improvement because I do it as a hobby, but you're running a business so your approach is different. Neither is right or wrong.
The OP is looking for best value for them, and I'd suggest that for someone that just wants to clean a car to their own satisfaction, the statement holds true.
Of course, if you want to do a freebie on my car to show me how it should be done, just drop me a PM.0 -
I was merely trying to point out that the budget wash and wax that you buy in the shops are rubbish and value for money wise they are not worth it. You end up using more of them in order to try and get a decent result - false economy I think. I dont really think that you can call Autosmart a "budget" range as you would not normally be able to buy them unless you are in the trade. There are lot dearer products out there than autosmart and there are a lot cheaper products, I would therefore not class it as "budget" but value for money as you need very little to wash a car. steves cleenz valeting :beer:0

OK, fair point. It's been a long time since I used supermarket own brand stuff, so maybe my memory is a bit hazy.
Your last sentence reminded me of another money saving tip. Use less product! I'm still always tempted to add a bit more 'for luck' rather than follow the instructions.0
