I want to buy Beko fridge/freezer urgently because my f/f broke down this morning. I found a Beko with right dimensions on this website but Internet Explorer (Windows XP) has blocked the purchase recommending I leave the site because it's not secure. Has anyone used the site please?

Similar experience with buying a TV from them. It was listed as in stock on their website, they took payment, but a week later they admited it was out of stock. It took them a while to sort out the refund and various emails and calls from me to chase this.
Good prices, but stock availability may be a bit suspect, plus they take payment immediately.

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad I decided not to buy with this company -not that IE would let me onto the website properly and for good reason it would seem from the above posts! In the end I bought online from M & S; the fridge-freezer (same model) was more expensive than the one adveristed on appliancesonline but at least it was delivered within 2 days.
Only this week I saw a report that some government watchdog or other is investigating online companies who offer products at seemingly very cheap prices, take the customer through the whole buying process then at the end say that that particular model is out of stock but they have another model but more expensive. There is a name for this kind of "scam" but I didn't make a note of it. Some people are tempted to go with the more expensive product because they can't face re-starting the buying process and that's what they rely on.fitzroy0 -
I have used them a couple of times - once to buy a tumble dryer, another a fridge freezer. Had good service and got a good price (the FF was almost £300 less than Comet!). Its sad if their service has gone downhill as it sounds like it has.....
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I have replied on this topic on another nearby thread....But I would heartily recommend Appliances online, great prices and outstanding communication from Customer services.0
