problem with IE and spybot

i have downloaded the new version of IE beta 7, however, as soon as i select the IE from my desktop, a window appears saying IE cannot display the webpage. in fact it cannot display any webpage at all, as i have tried various ones. i think spybot may have something to do with it.
problem with spybot is that when the spybot window appears , telling me about registry changes, the two boxes at the bottom of the window are only half boxes. i.e. the bottom half of the boxes cannot be seen, so i dont know what is written in them to decide which one to select , so i just click on the red cross and get rid of the window.
can anyone tell me how to rectify this problem or what is written in the two boxes/icons at the bottom of the spybot window.
i need to go through IE to try and view my online 02 bill as i cannot view it thru firefox.
any help apprecitated
thanks
Nice to save.

It maybe Spybot or a Firewall just right click the appropriate icon and allow access from Spybot or any Firewall.

Its because browser changes have been made I would think :)

The sypbot thing is a know problem that's been aroung for a long time.
When I used it briefly I figured out how many times to press 'tab' to select the button to deny a change, and how many times to tab to allow a change.

There was a fix here - but that was a while ago so don't know if it still works (The thread is a bit long to read through now)

Try disabling the Resident TeaTimer component of Spybot, as it may have prevented IE7 being installed properly, and then reinstall IE7. Or could you use IE6 instead?

Rebooting may fix the hidden icons problem.

IE7 is still a beta (or test) version. You may come accross various problems with it. MS (and a lot of software companies) rely on Beta versions to help find any bugs in the software so they can sort them out before they release a final version.

Ideally, you have kept IE6 to use as your main browser.

If you do get peed off with it just do this.

Start, Run, (then type) msconfig, click Launch System Restore, then go back to before when IE7 was installed and that could cure it but you will be reverted back to IE6.
