  • Number 11 is also a good route for moneysaving tours. Kings Road, Victoria, Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square, Strand, St Pauls etc

Your tickets from Leeds to Kings Cross are valid for the 2 for 1 offers but only on the days they are valid for travel.

So if you have bought anytime or off peak returns then they are valid throughout your stay.

If you have bought advance singles then they are only valid on your arrival and departure days.

How closely they look is another matter.

Gadzooks! I bet that is the London Pass which your husband stumbled upon. Seriously, you don't need that unless you move like lightning. Previous posters had been great with their advice. Get an Oyster card and load it up with some credit. You can use it for both tube and buses.

thanks for all your help - I fear I may have bought advance single tickets as we have 2 tickets each - they're the orange credit card size ones.

You get that anyway. What does it say on them? Top left under 'ticket type'

Anyhow you can still get the 2 for 1 offers - buy your London travel cards at a rail station ticket office, not a tube one. If your local station are clued up enough you should be able to buy them before you leave, otherwise at Kings Cross

Don't bother with Oyster - you won't get your 2 for 1 and your 13 year old will pay more
