Want to close my barclaycard, but don't know details!

I opened a barclaycard in October 2004. I've never used it, and thus have never received statements. I haven't got the card any more (I cut it up).
Thus, I don't know any of the details, apart from it's mine. So, does anyone know how I can find out, and how I can close it?

I did this a while ago, cut the card up to stop myself using it, then realised I had no details when it came to closing the account, as Barclaycard don't send out zero balance statements or give the full number online.
From memory, if you are registered online, take the last four numbers of the account from that, and write them a letter informing them, making sure you include your address (obviously making clear you cannot recall the full account number).
I'm sure this is what I did, and eventually received a letter confirming they'd closed the account. They have ways and means of finding the account, the last 4 numbers and address will be enough.
If you're not registered online, I'd still write to them but just include the address and see what happens.
Good to see I'm not the only one who has done it!0 -
I did this too! :rotfl:
I just phoned them up, told them what I'd done, so they asked all the usual questions to bring it up on the system. They then gave me the card number so I could reference it on a letter to them, as you have to put it in writing that you want it closed. All done and dusted fairly easily.Back on the DFW Wagon:
