Postal Strikes starting 22nd October

According to bbc news website, we could expect the strikes to commence on 22nd October!

I wonder how effective the strike will be though - how many will actually go out. I know several posties and none of them plan to strike.

This may be of help to some who aren't aware. The Royal Mail provide an email service that will provide updates and advise of disruption in your own area. You can sign up for the free service here and tick the box SERVICE DISRUPTION.

Alternatively you can check the daily updates on the RM site here and scroll to the bottom of the page for local area updates.

more than enough to cause disruption
hopefully RM will wake up and get to the table
theres plenty of time to get this sorted,however there has been plenty of time up to this point

Thank you for posting this - I have signed up.

I did put my job title as mum and company name as home, but I am sure that they won't mind.

Edited to add: I had convinced dear heart not to throw away a lot of stuff but to let me put in on ebay, aided by the local bin men strike. Is it worth trying anyway?
