Keeping drugs away from toddlers.

I'm going on holiday soon and want to make sure my toddler can't get to my drugs. At home I have safe places, but where we're going there aren't child locks and everything is in reach. I take steroids so it's vital that he can't get to them.
Does anyone know of any small bags or light boxes with locks on them for a reasonable price? I don't want anything heavy as we have a lot to take with us and a small car.
The second point is that I may need to take some of my medication out and about with us. It is in blister packs. Does anyone know of a small, handbag sized childproof medicine holder that I could put blister packs in? I can't use a bottle as I'd need to mix drugs in it which I don't think is a good idea.
Thanks.

Maybe you could get a small metal cash box with a key? It would fit in the glove box of your car.Sam0

Could you ask at your local chemist as they may know of something specially made for the purpose."This site is addictive!"

Hi
I think I would probably look out for a small toiletries bag with two zippers round the outside that I could attach a small padlock to. The handbag issue is more complicated. You could ask your pharmacist if the drugs you take can be mixed together, if you take more than one type of tablet, as many can, and then put them into small child-resistant pill bottles, even having two or more bottles lablled AM and PM or with times if you need them. Alternatively if you google lockable pill box there are some options that come up, however I don't know how secure they would be. The benefit would be that they are suitable for those with memory problems, and I know that when I'm away without my usual routine, I can develop some memory problems when it comes to tablets!

Couldn't you go to chemist and ask for a small tablet bottle with a childproof top which will fit into your hand bag???
And how about just a padlock like the one you have on a suitcase to keep a purse locked shut??
Or Couldn't you just keep your medication locked in glove compartment in your car???0 -
Amazingly, I found a little safe/money box with a lock belonging to my husband, and a tiny padlock from a Christmas cracker, so I've plenty to be going on with until I find a handbag sized blister pack pill box.
Thanks again.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
