He's probably flounced off again, announcing to the net that he's done with us and will never post here again.
His 'never again' lasts an average of 24 hrs, so expect him back shortly."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

Ha ha yep that's feature of a few who got too wound up isn't it?
I remember even the great DD did it once.
As for rewired being NDG.... don't make me laugh.... rewired is a bear thanking machine and whilst NDG was undoubtedly bearish she was more than happy to listen to and chat with all on the forum (and thank all)...... something that can't be said for many of the slightly more zany contributors.
I can't wait til theres a fall in the Haliwide index so we can say "Hello" to that current MIA poster downey.... he's a right laff.... I wonder what he'll have to say?
(Mind I'm still waiting on his sockie napoleon to show his head..... I remember you napoleon..... I'm still waiting:D)0 -
LOL. It's bad enough that you're pompous enough to 'announce' to an internet forum that you're leaving (I mean, really, who cares?), but it's even worse when you sheepishly return to said forum. To then repeat the exercise you're simply asking for derision.
Didn't Ad44downey get PPRd? I keep seeing posts calling for Ad to be reinstated."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -
What a shame a thread that focused on the high point of comeraderie and concern for a previous regular didn't stay that way. Still, NDG hopefuly now knows she's still well thought of...whoever she is now. I was hoping she'd pop back in...I'd love to meet her for a coffee in reality...

As it is highly unlikely that NDG left for 6 months, or whatever the period was, then chose to return at the exact moment a 'where are all the old timers' thread appears, I'd suggest that NDG has been monitoring the board since she 'left' and has been loving the 'where's NDG' attention received over said period.
That she decided to reveal herself and complain that she had been 'forgotten about', simply goes to underline that she was concerned that interest in her was waning and that she was missing the attention. No doubt she is back lurking and loving the revival.
I don't who is the more attention seeking, the flouncing Graham or the lurking NDG.

without sounding too controversial - NDG would/could have posted a bit more than she did instead of her single "pleeeeease notice me - have you missed me yet" post if it was all about comeraderie or wanting to know how people were getting on..Harry_Powell wrote: »As it is highly unlikely that NDG left for 6 months, or whatever the period was, then chose to return at the exact moment a 'where are all the old timers' thread appears, I'd suggest that NDG has been monitoring the board since she 'left' and has been loving the 'where's NDG' attention received over said period.

I never really understood how people could be so cold.0 -
