Co-op Cashminder Visa Debit Card

I received my new Visa debit card, so thought I'd try it out! So tonight I paid my electric bill with Southern Electric, it didn't have any mention on Southern's website of accepting Electron; only Visa Debit.
So went ahead and it went through fine and as Visa debit.
Then used it on the Next account, again it went through as Visa Debit. Wonder if the bin number is now recognised as a Visa D?
