Help Needed - Burning Discs!

I have been copying my original cd's onto i-tunes and then burning compilations for the car using the i-tunes burn disc facility. Problem is, although the music is on the cd, my car stereo (and my other 2 stereo's) can't seem to read them - they just say "blank disc" but when I put it back in my pooter - Hey Presto - the tracks are there! Am very new to this so no idea what to do! Help!
Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.

Check the type of discs that your car cd player accepts. Some only accept original CDs and not compilations/CD-Rs

If that's not the problem and your car player does play CD-Rs then it could be i-tunes that's causing the problem? I can't say for sure though as I dont use it myself. Assuming your using Win XP, you could download a free MP3 ripper (can be found on https://www.download.com - it's called FreeRip MP3)

Encode all tracks to your HD then burn the CD through XP's burning facility. You can then transfer all tracks to i-tunes instead of playing them through WMP or RP etc

It is likely that you are burning MP3 CD's rather than 'audio' CD's.

If you check the file properties of one of your CD music track files when it is in the PC you will find out. Change Itune settings or use another CD burner (eg Windows Media Player or pretty much any other s/w burner with the correct codecs installed) then you can burn audio cd's.
