Dell

Hi

I wonder does anyone know where i stand on this. We bought a new desktop and a laptop from Dell, they took the payments out for the 2 computers and then 7 days later took another 407.63 by mistake!!! I called them and they tried to blame it on my bank, they then admitted liability. They have told me it would take 5-7 days to credit my account. They also told me they would call/email me daily until this was sorted. No phonecall on Fri, emailed the bloke, he appologised again. No mention of compensation or anything, i have approached the subject and been ignored.

Does anyone know what i should do??

Explain to your bank that the second payment was unauthorized and ask them to deal with it. No reason you should have to wait 5-7 days for Dell to give you back your money, especially if they haven't even had the decency to apologize.

If you've incurred any bank charges (for instance if the second payment made you overdrawn) Dell should compensate you for the charges, otherwise there doesn't seem to be any need for compensation.
  • Hi

I have spoken to my bank and they where looking into it. Dell told me last week it would be 5-7 days, now this week they are saying another 5-7 days. They have treated us digustingly and have done nothing but mess us about!
  • I am really annoyed still no money from dell!!

Can you demonstrate losses other than the principal amount? Give them 48 hours to pay or issue proceedings in the Small Claims Court.
