Not for me...the missus would kill me;) but unfortunately my SIL is at the start of this messy procedure and so far the family don't think she has been very well represented as things seem to have played into BILs hands despite him being in the wrong(i'm being as impartial as possible and this does seem to be the case). I have advised her to seek comment from another couple of lawyers on Monday as to how things have went so far but does anyone here have recommendations of Divorce lawyers from experience?
Feel free to PM me if you'd rather this was kept low profile.
All guidance greatly appreciated
Cheers

Best divorce solicitor in Belfast is Rosemary Chesney & Co 90659777. She uses Barry Malcolm as barrister, who is the best divorce barrister in the North bar none.
Not cheap (who is) but will get the desired result.0 -
A mate of mine got tore apart by his ex's solicitor, Carol Fox i think she's called from the Antrim Road in Belfast. His solicitor went an awful shade of grey when he found out who he was up against0

Never a good subject for a thread i know, but i'm looking to instigate a Divorce and i really don't wanna get fleeced over it, can anyone recommend a good solicitor (city centre preferably - Belfast) or is there a way to do it myself?
Thanks in advance0 -
I've heard before that you can do it yourself, If you type into google DIY divorce you should see some links, I'm near sure tesco do it to and i think it's very cheap compared to paying overprice legeal people.0

there is ways you can do it yourself
currantly in the process (but i live in kent) of a divorce
if you earn under a certain amount you can get legal aid, cab found my soliciters for me, may be worth ringing around a few to get yourself some free advice
if its straightforward then a quicky diy could be a very money saving answerDebt free

If the answer is no/yes to these questions, then you need to hire a solicitor that specialises in divorces. If you do a search on this forum you will find the names of solicitors recommended by others previously.0 -
Is your name Peter Robinson?0

Can we assume your a bloke? If you can give us a little more info about your circumstances i may be able to give you a steer on what you should / shouldnt be liable for.
Also, be careful as a lot of divorces start out amicable but end up being a way for one or both parties to inflict pain (financial or otherwise) on the other, so i would avoid any sort of DIY divorce.
There was a really good guy in lurgan who i used but i think he got sacked for being too heartless which i personally thought was a good trait for a divorce lawyer.0
