Seller dragging their heels with F&F form and Enquiries answers

8 weeks down the line, 2 weeks from exchange at most and we still haven't had the completed fixtures and fittings form or answers to our enquiries back from the seller of the house we're buying. Warning bells are starting to ring. I've chased our solicitors who are in turn chasing and even asked the estate agent to go to the seller direct last week which he did.
Our solicitor still hasn't had anything this morning so I chased estate agent again. He informs me the seller said he has completed the forms over the weekend and will hand deliver them to his solicitor today.
Don't want to start pressurising them too much but think it's reasonable to want to know what's included in the sale and also have further info regarding questions we raised (some of which are needed to get buildings insurance quotes).
Anyone else experienced their seller dragging their heels?

Are they in a chain - I was wondering if they are dragging as they are waiting on their purchase? However some people are just generally slack at returning forms - check if the solicitor has received them tomorrow as it may be panic over.0

No they have bought a plot of land so you'd think they want to get on with things. Just hope there are no nasty surprises when we get answers back thats all.
Thanks0 -

Some house deals go fast, some slow. It's stressful. You just have to be patient, chase solicitors and then be patient again.0 -

Are they waiting to get planning permission on it and dragging their heels because of that?RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
How can you possibly know this? It depends on so many factors, including whether the seller is quick or slow at returning things like the F & Fs form!!

Because this is the date the solicitors have told me it will be. I'm trying to be patient but 8 weeks to return some forms that we took two days to complete and return is getting a bit too much.0 -

No they are all ready to begin, just need to complete on their house to fund it.0 -
Bit of an update or not as the case may be!
I went into the solicitors last Wednesday and they had received the answers to enquiries that morning but not the F&F form. So whilst I waited they rang the sellers solicitors who said they'd had the F&F form that morning and would email it over that afternoon. Guess what no form!!
My solicitors chased again Friday but as of yesterday afternoon, still nothing. My solicitors still haven't even come back to me with the answers to enquiries yet, I'm so sick of chasing for things.
DH has rang the estate agents today to say if it it doesn't all go through by end of Noveber, we are not moving in December, we have so much going on in that month.0 -
Give them a clear deadline. Is everything else fine apart from F&F?0
