I agree with you. I use so much water in the shower (even using the 'Naval' method of switching off whilst I soap down), that it's the same as when I bath (having tested this by putting the plug in when showering).
And the bath has the advantage of being relaxing, comforting, warming...
Re the electricity monitor, I nearly bought one in Aldi this morning for £7.99, but was wondering how accurate it would be.

you put in your tarriffs but i am hoping ours is over pricing cos we clocking up £3 a day0

That seems a tad high.
Assume that the shower is a typical 9kWh, so on a typical 15p/kWh tarriff, running it for 60 mins would be 135p. For 10 mins, you'd be 135p/6 = 22.5p. Adjust the sums for your own tariff.

Or adjust your lifestyle to make sure that you maximise use of the oven in conjunction with freezer/microwave and minimise fan heaters, immersion etc. by wearing woollies and adjusting the thermostat.0 -

The Aldi meter only works for plug in appliances, so won't show for an electric shower.
However if your shower is 10kW(few are as powerful) every 6 minutes will use 1kWh and cost approx 10p.0 -
thanks we have 3 tarriffs on our electric meter and i am hoping boyfriend put them in wrong he was doing some sums and he had me totally baffled
its a 8kw shower but the gadget went uo by 37 p so i do think its wrong as they guess £1.96 for a family of 4 we are showing £3ish0 -

You are on Economy 7 ???0 -
Even if you discount electric and you have a gas powered shower and bath. I did a little experiment, basically taking a normal shower with the plug in the bath. In the end I'd used almost as much water having a shower as I would have done having a bath.0

My feelings on this are similar, except it would cost more I believe to have a bath than a shower both in £'s and time. I am sticking my head above the parapet and will say if you were to have a bath you would use the same amount of water, but the average [temperature would be higher thus using more energy for that water, so showering is still cheaper0 -
This all falls down if you heat your water for shower by electric and for a bath by gas? Your gas usages would be 3 - 4 times cheaper. Many years ago we stripped out the leccy shower as the kids just stood under it. And put a mixer type gravity in. No pump as again that wastes alot of water. The measure of love is love without measure0
