Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help.....
I am a low income and considering obtaining a Credit Card for online purchases and emergencies. Ive been told Credit Cards carry extra security for online purchases against fraud and id theft??
I had one previously when i was younger but didnt fully understand how to use them properly and after a few years achieved a poor credit rating. But recently i believe i have slowly rectified this situation.
I am on a low set income. i dont need a high limit just something for emergencies and online shopping.....
any suggestions?
Thanks

Welcome to MSE!
If this would be your first credit card for some while, you may have a limited credit history. The bank that holds your main current account may be the best place to start.
For tips to improve your chances of credit card acceptance, have a look (if you haven't already) at the *Credit Rating: how it works and how to improve it guide*, especially Martin's *Manage and Improve your credit score* article

Unfortunately lenders are not queing up to lend money to low income, bad credit history applicants in this day and age. It might be hard for you to get any kind of credit card let alone cherry pick which one you feel would suit you.
As Moggles stated it is probably worth your while reading up on how to make yourself a more attractive proposition to the lender.....0
