Ultimately it is just down to luck, but I think in order to win consistently you need to be entering lots and lots of competition. "You gotta be in it to win it"!
I reckon if you can manage between 50 - 100 comps *a day* you will start to win a couple prizes a week (obviously only entering for prizes you want to win)! I average just over 100 comps a day and I won 10 prizes in 25 days of September. I've won 6 prizes in October already.

Also bear in mind that some comps you entered won't have even closed yet and also many companies do take a month or so to draw winners and send out prizes. I have read here that people have recently received prizes for comps that ended in June/July!!
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

Keep at it, It took me a year before I started winning prizes, at first I used to just enter big competition prizes for the likes of TV's, DVD players, money etc. Then I decided to enter a lot more for smaller prizes as well as the big prizes and I started to get the wins. I still sometimes get the odd month or go a few weeks where I win nothing and think my luck must have run out but then something always comes up eventually. :)

just one question which im slighty concerned about! do you think hotmail has lower chances of winning?
  • Here is something else to bear in mind:
Never 'directly' use the links provided in the MSE competition forums.
Website owners can see where entries have come from. Some promoters do not like entries that have come from competition sites. To them these will be representative of people who enter hundreds of competititions a week and only visit their websites fleetingly for mere seconds showing no interest in the products being advertised.

They may well see these types of entrants as having an unfair advantage over other casual visitors to their websites because usually these will have been primed in advance with all the answers.

I've been lucky enough to still win lots with my hotmail email address.

I just enter the comps that I'm really interested in and then cross my fingers. You do have to enter alot of comps, but if you use an automated form filler it doesn't take too long. x

I may be wrong, but i think they are talking about the programs that allow people to enter lots of competitions automatically, without having to do it themselves. Ive won lots of comps, and i always use roboform unless its a flash site and i have to enter the details manually.

I'm concerned now about using the links, I've been doing loads a day by this method and wins are few and far between. I'd like to know if those of us winning lots like kisto are using the links?
