If they think it is bad now wait until the Tory govt are elected with their 80 billion of cuts Interesting the top 20 includes only European or ex-British colony apart from Japan.

This is not a party political issue. We cannot afford nor do we require many of the public services we have today. We need fewer public servants working more effectively and on less pay. We also need the public sector to get back to essentials and to stop wasting public funds on frivolous projects or micro managing people's lives.

Massive cuts are unavoidable which ever party wins.

I heard a viscious rumour that he's not afraid of trouser snakes ;)

Seriously, my quality of life ain't too bad. Got another half who treats me well, we respect each other & do stuff that makes us happy. My Tomatoes are growing & ripening in the sunshine! We both have jobs & are solvent. After a couple of scares, OH's health is on the up.

Aside from my team getting a few more points on the board, no real issues.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

i suspect that a lot of the 20% unemployed are the under 35's who still live at home getting waited on hand and foot by mama and spend all day every day at the beach... actually maybe they're onto a good thing

Though British households enjoy the highest income, at £35,730 a year...
I wonder where they got this figure from? Average income can be highly skewed because of few million-pound-bonus fat bankers. We should concentrate more on median incomes, which is much much less than £35k/year.

One of the great things about living in England is that you have a better than evens chance of getting back in one piece if you go out to do the garden.

We had one of these babies as an uninvited guest at the 4 y/o Generalissimo's birthday party:

He was unlikely to bite but it'd hurt quite a bit if he did.

Who cares about quality of life?

As long as house prices go up, everything will be fine.
