[FONT=garamond, new york, times, serif]Good morning Paul,
Its so kind of you getting back to me soonest. I am ready to pay full £300 for you to know how serious I am about this purchase.
To convince you about my seriousness, I will draft payment now, with a 3-day clearance UK cheque. You should receive it in some couple of days from today if Royal mail sails fast. I live in Chester but will be leaving for an urgent hit job in Barry, Wales right now. I dont want this to delay the purchase, ok.
After you receive payment, my collector will come and pick up from your location. I am buying on your honest word that everything is ok. To speed purchase up, send -

Definite scam, delete it and ignore any other email. As above, go for cash on collection only.

You get a cheque. It bounces, between paying it in and it bouncing they collect the goods. You lose out. Alternatively, they send a bank draft, you pay it in and all seems well, it is found to be a fake a day or so after they collect the goods and the money is taken back from you. You lose out.

You could have a great time winding him up-give the local police station as your pick up address.
  • Definite classic scam - lovely idea to wind them up though. Whilst they are wasting time on a wind-up there's less time for them to be scamming someone else.
