    Daily Mail starts campaign to force providers to reveal hidden charges.
    The article is full of mistakes and assumptions that are not correct. The example they used (Pearl saver plan) is not even a unit linked fund and it lack of performance isnt so much down to charges but down to the fact its was one of the worst investment periods in history and invested in a fund that itself is invested for staying solvent rather than paying bonuses. The product hasnt been available for nearly 10 years.

    Next "campaign" to be launched by the Mail is to get car manufacturers to improve brakes as those on the Austin allegro are so bad.

    it should also be noted that the impact of charges is already included in illustrations. So, one of the things they ask for has already been in force for nearly 15 or so years.

    The impact of implicit charges is not included.
