DVD rental service seems to be very good but no sign of £20 vouchers yet.
  • I signed to the 1 dvd at a time option (£9.99?), recieved 1 watched it. Cancelled, sent it back and just got an email confirming cancellation now dvd has arrived with them.

However when cancelling it did say if the dvd wasn't back in time I'd be charged 1 months fees of £12.49... How can 1 month be £12.49 if I signed to a £9.99 deal?

Anyway, all cancelled after 2 weeks but still waiting on voucher.

It's ok, all sorted now. I signed up for the DVD service, selected a number of titles and received three in the post. I tried to cancel online today with 11 days left on my free trial but had to phone them to cancel. Which is the only problem I had with them. My account is now provisionally cancelled and will be completely cancelled once they receive the DVDs back within the 11 days I've got left. Also just received my vouchers via email. Perfect! Let's just hope nothing goes wrong.

2 x £10 voucher was emailed to me today by sendit.com. I am about to get the 3rd DVD rental. Once I watch this DVD I will cancel.

Hey there I signed up to the dvd.co.uk offer with screenselect.

I found this offer on the actual dvd.co.uk website, I clicked their link and the promo code was DVDY but the same terms applied, your supposed to get a free £20 voucher, even if you cancel.

So I signed up for the Screenselect, waited until my account got activated and cancelled it. Would I still get my £20 voucher?

    Thanks.

    ;)

    It depends on the T&C's.

One of the T&C's of the original offer (though this is probably just an ongoing offer) was that you had to select 10 unique titles in your rental selection list.

Did you do this ? I know that people in the past who didn't do this didn't get their voucher.

Damn I just realised it said I gotta choose atleast 10 titles lol :( I already cancelled my account.

    Here's the link: http://www.dvd.co.uk/landingpage.asp?id=7

T&C's are at the bottom :)

    Thanks.

Ok another edit: Even though my account is cancelled I have added 10 *at cinema now* titles, does that still count? :P

I doubt it very much. They are apparantly quite strict about it, and once your account is cancelled, that's it I would imagine.

And you can't re-do it because it will flag up that you have already had an account with them.

Damn, well I've heard people that have opened a screenselect account and cancelled it straight away and still got a voucher. Let's hope I'm one of those people.
  • Hi
I signed up to this free trial after it was recommended by Martin. I did receive the £20 of vouchers, however when I had received my 5th DVD I returned it 4 days before the billing date but apparently they only received it on the billing day but after they had charged me! All the other discs got back to them with in a day but myteriously this one took 4!
Customer services have said they cannot do anything but have given me an address to write to. My account will also be cancelled today as I cancelled it on the website last week and so I will lose the £12.49 I have paid out. I cannot help but think that the whole thing may be a scam.
Unfortunately I did not get proof of postage but I would urge others to do so and basically to avoid this company. Any advice from others would be appreciated.
