Hi jjfay.
I hope you will come back and read the posts and maybe even just type a little response.
There are so many people on this site who want to give you support and advice - little by little if that's what you need.
There are hundreds of 'virtual' hands reaching out to you right now....take one. Will you let us start helping you through this?
Massive hug and a listening ear are both here for you from me. xxxBank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hello and welcome jjfay
You've already tackled the most difficult part: admitting you have a problem and you don't know how to deal with it.
We are all here to help/support/listen to you. Just take your time and come back when you are ready. No one is going to judge you or critisize you.
Big hugs and take one step at a time xxLeason learnt :beer:0 -
It just feels so out of control at the stage you're at jjfay. I think that you are just at the begining of your 'lightbulb moment' and it's tough. It's the feeling that everything's out of control that I found the most depressing and that's why, even though it's the last thing on earth that you want to do, you are now at the point where you can start to face everything. It's important that you feel that you are in control by letting this site help you in whatever way you feel most comfortable for it too.
I think that by posting here you have taken the first step so CONGRATULATIONS!!
Have you had a look through the 'Sticky' posts at the top of the DFW chatrooms? I found these really helpfull. I also find it really helpfull just to read everyone elses problems and how they're coping along with peoples input when they've been there done it and come out the other side.

Are you claiming all the benefits you are entitled to. As your child is sick you should be able to get Disability Living Allowance for the child and Invalid Carers Allowance for yourself - make sure you are getting everything you should be - ask at CAB or a local Disability Rights Office.
Hope you come back to read these posts and let us know how you are getting on.

Hi and really sorry you're feeling so low & depressed. Is there anyone (other than us of course) who can support you? Please ring your GP if you feel on the verge of harming yourself; anti depressants can do wonders for depression and there is no shame in not being able to cope. It sounds like you have good reason! While hard to sort things when you are distraught just hang on to the fact that by confronting things they get better & just do things when you feel able; some of the fear is taken away & you can get some control back. It sounds like you are having a nightmare though & sending you big postive, soothing huggy vibes! Let us know if we can help...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I would seek some extra support like fish says. When i feel low and depresses i have a counsiller to go to. I was on antidepressants and beta blockers before although now id opt for the counsiller idea first. Antidepressants work but i think its better to talk before using them. Your GP can refer you or sometimes you can go through work (still confidential).
Hope you feel better soon:)

Hi Hun
Huge hug coming your way.
I can sort of sympathise and empathise with you as my DD is partially sighted (30% one eye and 50% the other)-shes suffered since she was 18months and now 11.
It takes alot from you looking after a special needs child, but you can do it! Do you have any outlets for getting things off your chest etc?
How much debt are we talking? How old is the child? Are you claiming all benefits your entitled too for you and the child?
It would help if you could post some basics and Im sure we can help. Try and make a list of all outgoings (food, petrol, utilities, tv, phones, insurances etc etc) then tally up your basic income and we can see if we can shave anything for you....which Im sure we can!
Chin up girl-youve come to the right place and well done for taking the first steps to ask for help...this is the hardest part and youve achieved it.
PM me if you want, Im always here. Thinking of you.
