Wanted - weatherproof compact digital camera that uses AA batteries

After a recent holiday when one of my cameras succumbed to the weather and the other for which the proprietary (ie expensive) "long life" batteries proved to be otherwise, can anyone recommend a weatherproof (ie rain and sand) compact digital camera that uses AA batteries

Get a cheap plastic bag and Duracell batteries, about the best you will get for little money, a good waterproof case will set you back the same as your holiday travel costs. Next time get a camera using a Li-on power source.0

I think the OP might have been looking for a camera, rather than how to keep the old, broken one dry!;)
Unfortunately, I don't think many camera's use AA batteries these days. They nearly always come with battery packs.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
