Egg's transfer rate Advice needed.

I am currently paying a whopping 26% APR on my egg card.

I am hoping to shuffle and clear my egg balance then transfer another Card to it. (I have cashed in an old endowment)

I wrote to egg and asked them if they had any balance transfer deals - they said they would transfer at the same 26%. (I was close to my balance limit when I asked them.)

Here's my question, if I clear the balance and leave it a while - will egg come up with a favourable BT offer? If so how long will I need to wait?

I've been with egg for 6 years, I've never missed a payment. I have good credit rating - my limit is £15,000 (Currently £500 off that!)

Any advice on how egg will respond would be great.

I do not want to take out any more CCs! (I know virgin have god transfer rates - but just don't want any more plastic)

I like giving short to the point replies instead of the long boring ones that talk to you like your an idiot that your bound to get after this.

So here it is.
What they will offer you goes on your history with them and you'll need to wait at least 1-2 months with a zero balance before they decide to tempt you with an offer of some kind.

Egg tend to do anniversary offers rather than just after you have cleared a balance.
I disagree with poster above but hope answer is not too long. LOL
