missed my tesco credit card (first time in something like 24 months as i forgot to do online check)
but payment of:
£900
payment due date: 10 oct
i paid today 11 oct
just rang up to ask what the interest incurrement charge will be and the lady said she doesn't know, but late payment charge of £12 and she said APR on this account is 15.1% (i think)
any ideas?

Ring up and grovel as quick as possible. I did this very same thing with rbos and because it was the only time (my mistake) they removed charges. but dont wait get in touch asap0

i've already rang them twice
1. check if i paid - no i didn't and thought i did so went and checked online bank
2. i didn't pay so asked about interest charges - lady couldn't work it out or know
so don't fancy calling back tonight, will do tomorrow lunch time and grovel
but in the mean time what is the interest payment charges as i didn't even have a minimum balance set up ;-(
can't believe i missed it and been using it for almost 2 years and always ontime0 -
p.s. who should i speak to on tesco credit card?0

interest for a whole month would be
900 x 15.1%/12 = £11.3 approx
why not set up a DD to pay then you wouldn't ever miss the payment0 -
phew i thought it was something like that.
might still phone up tomorrow and grovel as haven't missed a payment for so long and each month is around £1000
yeah maybe wise to setup a DD
do they calculate it by late payment days too. becuase intheory they will get it in say 5 working days so then it's like 5 days late rather than a full month.
so looking at £12 late payment and £11 interest. £25ish grrr, but releaved it's not higher0 -
If you've previously been a good payer then definitely worth ringing up and doing a bit of grovelling. Chances are they'll let you off the late fee payment and just charge you the interest - or even let you off entirely (but wouldn't hold your breath on that one).
Definitely worth a telephone call. Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon
