Encase RSJ in two layers of plasterboard , then Plaster.

Now I might be out of date , been a few years since I did one , but never did get the art of wedging wood in the RSJ to attach plasterboard to.

Before lifting RSJ in place drilled a number of small holes in the flanges.
This enabled me to screw 4 pieces of 2x1the full length of the beam
2 under the beam and two under the top flange
Installed RSJ , then easy to attach Plasterboard to beam ..... but I may well be very old fashioned

    Ps I would be thinking 6 acro's
and 4 scaffolding boards plus a short one .

PPS do they still use slate tiles ( told you its been a few years ):D

Just read lisal0u posting , must be more up to date than me.

But plasterboard varies in thickness , so we might be both right
