How do i rid of limewire

I need to get rid of Limewire of my computer but it's as stubborn as a mule.
Just discovered, my teenage son is taking too much of an interest in downloading stuff other than music, if you know what i mean.......
Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved. Thanks

I take it you have used "add/remove" programs ??
    1. Open the LimeWire folder.
    2. Then open the folder UninstallerData.
    3. Double click the incon named Uninstall LimeWire or something alike.
    4. Follow the on screen prompt to uninstall the program

Limewire 4.10 is pretty easy to remove, In control panel add/remove programs but just make sure that its removed from Program Files, Just delete the folder called Limewire in programs files, Limewire (newer versions) is not as bad as some people make out its whats downloaded thats bad so I would suggest you Virus scan every single file that has been downloaded by limewire.

Go to the folder with all the stored files, Click once to highlight one file Edit, Select All, when all selected right click and then Scan with (your antivirus) if you have any installed, but dont forget to do this first and save any wanted files before deleting stuff or you could inadvertently delete the folder with all the files that you wish to keep.

If you get really stuck here are two uninstallers first off Easy Uninstaller 1.5 its a freebie http://www.tucows.com/preview/362527

Or (I like this) is https://www.ccleaner.com now when installing you may be asked to install the Yahoo toolbar say NO unless you want it.

Then with CCleaner open the program after install and then click tools and an uninstaller will be available.
