Going to America!

Hi folks

We are looking at going to stay with my relatives in san francisco next year. As we're going to go to see them we are thinking we might as well go to a few other places in america and we've been told that we might be able to get some sort of pass that covers domestic flights over say a week or 10 days?

Does anyone know anything about this?

There used to be Visit USA Passes but they are as about dead as the dodo with the changes since 9/11. There are still some great fares however and from San Francisco you should be looking at Southwest Airlines and Virgin America who both have frequent sales, as low as $49 each way so you could easily get to Las Vegas or ny favourite city San Diego in an hour or so.
  • Jetblue had unlimited flights but think its ended now .. .. here

    Enjoy your trip!

You need to hire a car. Its cheap and you can cover a lot of miles in not much time.

I'd highly recommend Jet Blue - best flight service I have ever experienced, plus the cheapest! Really can't fault them...Southwest come in second, as they're cheap and cheerful. But yeah, depending on where you want to go, driving is an excellent way to get around. San Fran is absolutely gorgeous - I loved the time I spent there a few years back. Nowadays if I go to the USA it's usually the mid/deep south...people are super friendly, lots of history (for the US), plus there's so many differences in culture...it just fascinates me :). But yeah, if you go to San Fran do a day trip to Yosemite....*so* worth it!

I would say that statement was a bit glib. The USA is a huge country, Florida alone is the size of England !
