New Electric Oven - What do i need to do???

Just got a new electric oven and had it set up - what do i need to do??

Someone told me i need to leave it on for a couple of hours before i cook in it

Any ideas please

    What do the instructions say?
    "Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."

    I just got a Hotpoint double under oven and you need to let it run at a hot temperture for a couple of hours to burn off any residue smell befotre use.
    Turn it on and if there is any smell let it run for a couple of hours.
