  • Another one opened on Ann Street today (just opposite semichem) well worth a look.
  • the one in bow street mall is open but looks like it might be a bit smaller than castlecourt as it is in where boots used to be

Bow St. Mall is pretty small, but has a decent range. Some real bargains. :)

I bought a couple of batteries there for my torch - there was a picture of a torch on the back so I assumed they would be OK - they weren't, all I got was a flicker.

Batteries are one thing I would tend not to go budget on. The cheap ones never seem reliable to me.

CastleCourt took 100,000 in its first week, if rumours are to be believed. That's a lot of merchandise..

Not quite Asda Enniskillen, who are bidding this Christmas to be the biggest selling Walmart on the planet.

    :rotfl:

I think they got 5th last year which is some achievement considering the size of the store in comparison to some of the Walmart mega stores in the states:eek:

Gonna come to the point where people living North of the boarder will go and shop down south for the peace and quiet:rotfl:

It really is unbelievable here in the Maiden City already, you can't move in the towns shopping centres and traffic is getting worse (at least you know to be extra careful at rondabouts when you see initial on any number plate;))I feel sorry for the people of Newry and Enniskillen as they have a lot larger southern catchment areas than us:o

Wish we would get a Poundland up with us:o I have used them in England and got some great bargain, hopefully in time.
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

Newry is a bit like a circus every day. Can't wait for XMAS season to be over.

I have no idea how people can drink and eat this much. A lot of our neighbours go to Craigavon or Banbridge to do their shopping now. I myself do my shopping very early (when doors open) in the morning during the week or drive to tesco in Banbridge.
