As per title, the first of the Poundland stores (big English chain) has opened in Castle Court some decent deals in comparison to our existing Pound shops.

Of course its worth pointing out its all cheap stuff, the name of the store kinda speaks for itself ;) but 2 x 2lt bottles of Vimto for 2 quid is a good deal - though shelves were cleared of that today, I dont know how often they re-stock.

The wife says the ladies High Heel gel insoles were good for a pound.

I love poundland! Always go to the one in the Metro Centre (Newcastle) when im over. There are some bargains to be had if you shop carefully, some great craft supplies if you love crafts. Some of it is overpriced, that you can find slightly cheaper elsewhere.

    Happy shopping:rotfl:

Sometimes you find the best stuff in these stores - I think there is one opening in Portadown too - where the old Matalan Clearence store was in Magowan Buildings

Was in here on opening day and it was a nightmare. So busy and the shelves had been raided. Some great stuff in it though, especially for the kiddies for Halloween.
