Me and my partner are wanting to move out (still live at home).
We are trying to get a general idea of costs.
How much for both elec and gas on a new 2 bed apartment? We both work during the day mon-fri, and go to the gym alot so shower there. We will probably get away with 2 loads of washing every 1-2 weeks and no tumble dryer. We're also not very big cooks and wont use alot of energy for cooking, basics kettle, toaster, microwave and maybe the hob! heating and water will be gas.
We were told around 100pcm, but this was for a 2 bed semi detached house, will it be cheaper for a apartment?
thank you

Depends on quite a few things. The cost of gas has more than doubled, if the flat is not well insulated or you live in Scotland or the North you will use a lot more gas.
There is also a big difference if it is a modern flat or old and how big it is, you can get tiny 2 bedroom flats and huge ones. We live in a 2 bedroom flat and are working all week, we pay £150+ per month, we used to be about £100 before the price hikes.0 -
i live in a 2 bedroom flat with my partner we both work mon to fri and both use the gym often for showers etc and we dont have a tumble dryer. our gas and electricity is on direct debit and costs us £80 per month altho our actual spend is less than that.0
