Cheap Hotel Accommodation in Paris

I've been to Paris many times before, but usually with family & kids in tow, and staying in reasonable ( 4* ) hotels.
I'm looking to go over for a few days on a budget and all I want is somewhere clean and fairly central. Don't need breakfasts, facilities as I will be spending my time out in the city.
I had to stay in an Ibis once and got the impression they were like a French version of Premier Inns/Travelodge - so they might be an option.
Anything else I should look at?
