Railcard for hard of hearing

My apologies if this has been posted before. I have just found out I qualify for a railcard because I wear a hearing aid. This gives a third off most fares. You do not have to be deaf, just provide proof you wear a hearing aid. It's even better because you can take someone with you who also gets the same discount.

  • Thanks for bothering to post this. The Disability and Dosh board has a few threads devoted to hearing aid wearers - I will see if it has been covered there, unless you fancy reposting on that board?
    Murphy was an optimist!!!

I think its probably the same as other railcards, under 25, family etc. They are just trying to fill the seats on off peak trains. Mine came today, I am going to London in November, it has paid for itself already.
