I am looking for travel insurance to the USA but require over 70 years old and pre existing conditions for a pacemaker and hypertension and diabetis type 2.
I am struggling to find a provider and if I do the cost is high -
Can anyone help with advice and findings please?

I can only advise you to steer clear of any insurance that mentions AXA or AXA ASSISTANCE CLAIMS plc.
They use every excuse in the book not to cough up. Avoid like the plague.0 -
The Blood Pressure Association website www.bpassoc.org.uk has a link to a company called Freedom Insurance www.freedominsure.co.uk which offers insurance for those with medical conditions.
However, I see the policy is secured by AXA and given the reply above from Tippytoes you should be aware if this.
Other than that, try Saga on http://www.saga.co.uk/insurance/travel-insurance/ but I suspect you may have already tried this.0 -
Try moneysupermarket.com they have a section for travel insurance with pre existing conditions0

STAY AWAY FROM AXA & WHITE HORSE.
Saga are great fort you and you may want to try Fortis (available at the Post Office).

PLEASE REMEMBER - Compare the restrictions and cover of the policy - Do not buy by price alone. - Get the cover you need then compare similar policies - trust me if you buy on price alone and think you are covered, then you probably wont be.
Simple example - £50.00 purchase price = good? Noooooo! then you need a claim and you find medical coverage is limited to £200.00 - here in Florida a broken leg can cost $10,000.00 +C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

My parents over 65yrs and pre-existing medical conditions tried various companies and best one was SAGA but if blood pressure then sadly quite a few will not cover but try saga0
