Problem with Purchase from Abroad HELP!

I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place so please forgive me & point me in the right direction if I am wrong.
I bought some UGG boots from a website in China (although I didn't realise at the time that they were coming from China), they were cheap & yes the thought did cross my mind that they might be fakes! I paid with paypal because I thought if there was a problem they would be able to help.
Anyway, the boots arrived - wrong size AND wrong colour so I contacted the seller & so far they won't offer an exchange or refund & in fact are suggesting I buy another pair & they will give me a discount!! I contacted paypal but my claim wasn't even validated because I stated that the boots were significantly not as described & as I have since discovered paypal don't protect non-ebay purchases for this reason.
Having done some research now I think the boots are probably fakes too so yes I feel pretty dumb but I wondered if anyone knows if I have any way of getting my money back via paypal or any other means?
Thanks in advance....

Ugg Boots + Cheap + China + No refunds
That's a new one!!!!
Seriously, just join the group of people who ensure ripoff/ fake goods websites continue to flourish.
Lesson 1 = Research the site BEFORE throwing money away.Beware of imitations e.g. Robert Sterling0 -
Cheer up, at least you did get some boots, even though not what you rather unrealistically hoped to get.
You could minimize your losses by selling the boots on ebay, taking care to explain in the description that you have no reason to believe that they are genuine Ugg boots, and offering a returns policy in case it turns out they fall apart on the first wearing.
Or you could give them to someone else, or to a charity shop, and chalk the loss up to experience.0 -
Just sell them on ebay as ugg-style boots (use ugg, not UGG, as ugg is a style of boot, and UGG is a trademark brand) and put this whole thing down to experience, as there's not much else you can do.
If you don't buy them from an official trader, then it's very very likely they're fake. At least you didn't pay full price for a fake!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
If they are fake then you will not be allowed to sell them on Ebay as to sell infringing products is illegal.0
