in Credit cards
I have 3 credit cards. A Barclaycard Platinum with a £510 limit , balance is £280 @ 14.9% apr. An Argos Mastercard £2000 limit, £850 balance @ 25.9%apr and finally a Barclays Premier Visa card with a £2500 limit and a balance of £1750 @ 13.9%apr.
I have an overdraft of £250 with a £250 reserve. I rarely use it, but because I am now on monthly pay as is my wife I am worried about defaulting on my direct debits. I have a faultless payment history with no defaults ever.
I asked my bank to increase our overdraft, so far they have not done anything.
My question is. Should I apply for a balance transfer credit card? I am always receiving mail and phone calls from MBNA. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The last time I checked my credit score with Experian, about a month ago it was 847 ( fair). Yet my Equifax and Callcredit say very good.

Hi Ged
Don't bother with your bank they never reward loyalty etc..
Apply online for a virging card, takes about 10 mins with instant decision.
I find most lenders these days search Equifax, almost all of my cards and other credit stuff shows up on Equifax and not experian eventhough my details are the same.
p.s. Virgin can't check your salary so you can be a little inventive if you like to bump your chances up.0
