Argos

Ten months ago I purchased a hi-fi from Argos on my credit card. The stereo is now faulty and so I want to return it to the store. Argos no longer sell this particular stereo and I don't want a replacement. If it can't be repaired how do I go about getting money back as I no longer have the credit card it was bought with? Any advice would be great.

Normally if it goes back onto the same type of card it's not a problem.

But I suggest you wait for djb215 (I think I got that right) to appear as he/she will know for sure.

You won't get a refund after 10 months. It will be repaired or replaced.

    'Ow do.

Take it to store, the staff will check for repair and if it can't be repaired they will replace it with a similar spec/cost model. If there is an alternative available that meets spec and is cost effective then you won't be able to get a refund, they would only refund if it's not cost effective to replace it. The refund would have to go onto the original card it was paid for unless the card has expired, or if you take a similar card (e.g. if you paid by MasterCard, take your current MasterCard) they may do it, not too sure. You need to go to store first and foremost.
