Natwest Payment protection & Card protection

Have been reading lots of topics on PPI here on this forum, there is a question that I hope anyone could answer me:

When i first applied for Natwest credit card online, for some reason that I have been charged this payment protection and card protection on my card. The payment protection is charged on monthly basis on a % of my balance, the other hand, the card protection is charged on annual basis, with a lum sum fee every year.

I am not sure if those two payment are included into the PPI that everyone is talking about here on this forum, would i be able to reclaim them back? (I have since cancelled them).

You could only make a complaint to claim these back if you have reasons for misselling.

If you do decide you have been missold then send a letter to the ones that sold you the PPI and give them 8 weeks to give you full and final response. Send all correspondence recorded delivery.

Katie, they are both insurances. One is the PPI ie the % ones. The other one is Card Protection ie if you lose your cards they will make sure everything is cancelled.

think your right.. i might try and reclaim my payment protection which is kind of PPI, dont think that i can do anything with card protection yet... didnt see any tips from Martin...

the only problem that i got my credit card online, it was around two years ago, i cannot remember if they pre-ticked the box for payment protection or not... so im not sure if i stand any chance to get my money back...

Give it your best shot, it may be more difficult, but there have still been success this way, especially more so through with the FOS, so if you ended up going this direction, I'm sure they will consider this for you, good luck.;)
