Fried egg question

I don't want to spam on the forum, so I wont say anything specific here, but I have a good invention out for exactly the problem being talked about in this thread. A gadget that cooks the egg white properly but leaves the yolk runny.
PM me if you're interested and I'll send you a link!0 -
Either use a lid (as suggested) or do it on a low temperature and put it under a moderate grill for about 20-30 seconds to cook the 'white' on top of the egg.0

I forgot what chef it was but I remember hearing one of the chefs on Ready Steady Cook saying she made her husband a fried egg every morning and to cut down on the fat from butter..she mixed olive and water and then dropped the egg in..tried it a few times and it seems to work ok

I dont like fry light, but dont like grease either so i tend to put a spot of sunflower oil onto a kitchen roll square and wipe the non stick pan with it,then add the egg when the pan is hot...I do flip over, but only once the bottom of the egg is propely cooked, only flip it long enough to cook the white over the yolk, seems to work...dry "frying" works well too with a nonstick pan....and apparantly its cheaper to make your own Fry light by mixing olive oil and water in a plastic sparay bottle....but sorry I dont know the ratio of oil to water,..i have a refillable one from lakeland that i refill with olive oil, thats more economic too.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

I do mine on a low heat with a lid on an electric hob. When that's done I put a pan with a half inch to an inch of water on the hob for flasking for tea.
Either that or a pre-rinsed dish cloth or tea towel in a little water gets steam cleaned on the residual heat (lid on).0
