Bought tickets as a Christmas Present but....

Mum has gone a bought herself a ticket!!
I thought I was being so clever buying tickets for Les Mis when it comes to Cardiff, even got them for a performance on her birthday, but she announced today she got herself a ticket for a performance in December!
So what do I do with them ? I've spoken to the theatre and they won't accept them back and won't sell them on my behalf - the only way they could have them back is if I donated them to the theatre.
I could try selling them but would people buy 2 tickets that weren't together?
The only option I have is to take OH but he did say he wasn't interested in going (I asked before I had the idea of taking mum and asked him, since he reckons I always go with my mum but never with him)
Any ideas ?

you could try ebay, or putting an add in the south wales echo. alternatively, you could confess to your mum - perhaps she might know people who would be interested in taking the tickets off your hands?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Agree with Pavlov - if your mum has only bought one then it'd be more sensible to sort it out with her. If a refund is out of the question it'd be more sensible for the single ticket to be unused or sold. Or your mum might like to go twice!?0

Has your mum seen it before? I only ask because I loved Les Mis, went to see it on Broadway when I was on holiday and then when it came to the Liverpool Empire, went to see it again and cried my leg off AGAIN!
So, she might like to see it twice. I'd defo go again, given half a chance.
Also, if I were to get a pressie like that for my mum, the best bit for her would be that we would be going together. I'd tell her now and see what you can sort out.Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation? :cool:0 -
Thanks guys for the suggestions.
I don't know about confessing to mum - I think she would feel awful although she could put the tickets on her intranet site in work, which might have a better chance of selling them.
She hasn't seen it before - and I know she wanted to see it, hence whay I was so pleased to get the tickets,lol!
The other alternative, if I can't sell them, is to work on OH and go ourselves, which might be nice as we don't go out together very often.
Next time I'm going to tell her that I've got the tickets!2014 Target;
