I am considering buying one of these for London driving- has anyone here any experience of using these? Apparently they do 4000 miles for £40 of electricity...

Lol. If I was forced to drive one, I'd get the windows tinted as dark as possible so no could see it was me driving.
  • I took one for a test drive round the motor show last year. It's like a 40 mph dodgem car. Totally silent, but quite nippy. But frankly, I'd be terrified if I took it down the A13. There are seats in the back for toddlers or dwarves.
They are like a dodgem though, only with a brake pedal. I'd also think carefully where you're going to park it, as a couple of drunks could easily pick it up and carry it off/ tip it over etc.

And that's a big problem because, of course, it isn't a car it's a quadricycle and, as such, doesn't have to meet the safety standards required of a car.

The safety video is sobering- at 30mph it looks like there are no crumple zones to take the impact..
