Bought tickets for a Christmas Present but....

Options
Mum has gone a bought herself a ticket!!

I thought I was being so clever buying tickets for Les Mis when it comes to Cardiff, even got them for a performance on her birthday, but she announced today she got herself a ticket for a performance in December!

So what do I do with them ? I've spoken to the theatre and they won't accept them back and won't sell them on my behalf - the only way they could have them back is if I donated them to the theatre.

I could try selling them but would people buy 2 tickets that weren't together?

The only option I have is to take OH but he did say he wasn't interested in going (I asked before I had the idea of taking mum and asked him, since he reckons I always go with my mum but never with him)

Any ideas ?

  • You could go yourself and sell the other on ebay. I would defenitely go and see this it is such a good show.
  • I've put them on gumtree in the hope that someone will want them, although I have said that if someone only wants one, then I am prepared to sell just one - and would use the other one myself.

Anyone want a ticket to see Les Miserables in Cardiff in January?????

Another option - have you a girl friend that would like to see it? Take her along and make it a girly night or something? Or bribe your partner into going along! (Personally, I love the theatre - but don't live anywhere near Cardiff!)

If you do get to go, hope you enjoy it!

Your mum might well be happy to go twice!
  • Well I had to admit to mum what had happened - I had a horrible thought later on that SHE might have bought me tickets as an early Christmas pressie (hers are for a performance in December!) ......but turns out she hadn't!

Anyway the cunning plan now is to see if I can sell them and get a ticket for the night mum is going - alernatively I'll [STRIKE]drag[/STRIKE] tae OH along using these tickets.

Next time I plan to do something similar I'll mention to it to her beforehand!

  • Just thought I would let you know that I did eventually sell the tickets and could have sold them many times over!

I also managed to get a ticket for the performance mum was going to and I am now a huge John Owen Jones fan (actually cried when he sang bring him home!) ........Gareth Gates wasn't bad either.

If anyone is going to to see this in the next few weeks / months - you won't be disappointed.

and we will never, ever return.
  • Liked it - I absolutely loved it!

In fact I decided that if I hadn't sold the tickets I would have happily gone again to see it.
