CAR INSURANCE

Hi

can anyone please help, I have bought a Sierra Sapphire cos which I am due to pick up this Saturday. My current insurance expires next month(feb2005) on the 6th, and from now until then I was hoping to swap the cos over and pay what I may owe, then after that move my insurance as I have had quotes for 12month insurance as from 6/2/2005. However my current insurers say I can't change it over as they wont insure me on the cos. They say they can cancel and offer a new 12month policy, but I dont want to do this as in 30days time I will have 3years no claims. Does anyone know of any insurer that may just insure me for the 1month or something? Please help.

Thanks for your time.

I think you may be able to swing starting your new policy with 3 years no claims.

Then get your current insurers to issue you with a letter confirming 3 years no claims on 6 Feb and send it to your new insurers.

They normally give you a few weeks to confirm your no claims bonus entitlement.

Will certainly be better than trying to find 1 months insurance from somewhere.

I don't think they'll be impressed with proof of NCB which didn't award the NCB until after the date the new policy started.

Why don't you just delay collecting the new car until the date of your insurance renewal?
