Ebay - cancelling bids and editing listings

Very specific question about Ebay: Once your item has bids you can't edit the details, only add more descriptions.

Question: If you cancel the only existing bid on the item, do you get back the ability to edit it?

The reason I ask is that I've made a mistake on the international shipping costs for my item, and the first bidder is from Denmark! So I'd like to be able to edit the shipping costs and correct the error.

    Hi

If you cancel the listing you can cancel the bid. Use the excuse that you made a mistake in the listing, which you did, and then relist it. You should be able to relist free, I believe.
  • Even if you cancel the bid you will be unable to edit.

Ok - thanks for that, I'll just have to cancel the listing. Shame, as it was a relatively expensive one, listed in two categories, so everything double charged.
