iPod is just Apple's brandname for their MP3 players.

All MP3 players will allow you to transfer your music onto them one way or another (either copying straight over in Windows, or via software, or via Windows Media Player or for an iPod, through Apple's iTunes software)

  • i would recommed the ipod, it is a bit more expensive than some other mp3 players but its so easy to use and easy to update and easy to put your music on it and plenty of generic holders, chargers, covers, docking stations and lots of cars coming out with ipod connections in them.
its so easy my dad can use it.

Don't get an ipod -you'll just be paying for the marketing! They are very restrictive when adding music - you've got to use their software and can't connect to multiple computers ar anything. There are much better quality, easier to use options out there. Something like the Sansa Fuze for example which is available very cheap at the moment.

Please be nice to all moneysavers, even when they're very new and not quite got to grips with this site yet...;)

MP3 players are cheap, can carry a large number of CDs worth of music on them, and are mostly used for personal use, much like a Sony Walkman was in the 80s.

Ipods can also be used for personal use, but there are all sorts of docking statinos for them to let you listen to the music through speakers, also considerably more expensive than MP3 players.

    hope this helps.
