Is the engine control light.....stupid question......, does that looks like a lit up engine ?????
yes, if it was this one it would be bad to drive the car, but as it's not, you can drive the car.
In the manual it says that might damage the catalytic converter but it definitely is the spanner one thats lit
    That's ok then.
  • Thanks for that, worth trying

sorry to sound thick, do you mean the flashes is the code number ???

right, re reading it again....the codes will flash up on the dash and that should indicate what the problem is???

If it is going to work the orange "car/spanner" light will start flashing after holding both pedals down for about 5 - 10 seconds.
no. of flashes = single digit code number (from a group of 4 numbers)
  • Right, think I've got it

Will try that when my daughters fiance comes to have a look at it, will let you know how I get on

Hi Wig, we tried it and came up with a code 0219 .....engine overspeed condition

edit..... thinking about it....it mightve been 0210 which is injector circuit malfunction- cylinder 10 .......which sounds quite scary

Does anyone know what this actually means ??????

Topped up the oil and water , can't disconnect the battery just now but will do so tomorrow when its light to reset the code

    Again Thanks
